Acoustonauts is a not-for-profit initiative supporting underprivileged children through music education, local artistic collaboration, and cultural preservation. We believe every child deserves the chance to create, learn, and be heard.
The Concept
Acoustonauts Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which teams up with local musical talent to empower underprivileged children worldwide through music education while upholding the culture and traditions of their community.

Mission
Acoustonauts will collaborate with local talent to support underprivileged children learn music. The local talent will produce songs in the local language, aimed at promoting cultural preservation and encouraging artistic expression.

Goal
At the end of the year, songs produced by local talent will be compiled and sold to help raise funds for children in need while promoting access to music education and cultural exchange.
Mexico Chapter
The Acoustonauts Foundation's first project focused on Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, supporting children who want to learn piano through a local scholarship initiative.
The First Project
Acoustonauts worked alongside Lost Nebula to help facilitate a scholarship for five underprivileged children to take lessons from IlusiĂłn Piano Music Studio for one year.
The students’ progress was intended to be shared throughout the scholarship’s duration so supporters could see the real-world impact of music education.

The Band: Lost Nebula
Lost Nebula was founded in 2013 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. The band has toured Mexico, the USA, and mainly Canada, where they received strong support.

Harry
Bass player / songwriter
Harry had been playing bass for almost 20 years when a friend introduced him to music at 14. He is the band’s primary songwriter and founded Lost Nebula along with QuetzalĂn and Julio.

Lead vocalist / songwriter
Coming from a family of musicians, QuetzalĂn started singing professionally in high school and became a key part of Lost Nebula’s vocal identity and songwriting.
“It makes me happy to be able to help children develop these skills through music, especially children who have a lot of desire and talent to exploit.”
The Charity: IlusiĂłn Piano Music Studio
IlusiĂłn Piano Music Studio is a school born from the passion of teaching children in Mexico, using a caring, child-friendly system with strong results.
A school built on care
Their students start as young as two and a half years old. The school offers a caring environment where children are supported by certified teachers using a patented method.
The school is owned and operated by Juss Sota and Ilusión Hernández.
About Ilusión Hernández
IlusiĂłn holds a degree in piano music from the music conservatory of Puebla, a diploma in orchestra conducting from the Autonomous University of Mexico, and pianistic improvement studies in Italy with Marco Schiavo.
She is passionate about teaching based on affection, play, patience, and knowledge.

A Message from our Founder
Having been a role model in a child's life has been one of the greatest privileges bestowed upon me and I am grateful to have been there for a short period of time.
The few years spent in this role have taught me that music has the power to change lives. Let's give every child the chance to experience it.
This is why I created the Acoustonauts Foundation: to give back to those kids who dream of being rockstars and/or astronauts yet do not have the opportunity to do so due to socio-economic disadvantages.
